Visa is looking for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join their Generative AI team to invent, design, build, and test products that reach a global customer base, specifically focusing on Large Language Model (LLM) applications to shape the digital future of payments.
Requirements
- Experience in at least one of the following: Python, Golang, Java, or C/C++
- Familiarity with web service standards and related patterns (REST, gRPC)
- Experience implementing solutions for low-latency, distributed services using open standard technologies.
- Exposure to leading-edge areas such as Machine Learning, Big Data, Distributed Systems or SRE.
Responsibilities
- creating applications based on the Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) framework
- developing efficient inferencing algorithms
- fine-tuning the LLM to cater to various applications
- leveraging various machine learning stacks to enhance system efficiency
- researching new techniques to advance our LLM applications
- collaborating with cross-functional teams within the organization
- documenting processes and workflows and sharing insights with the team

- This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
- This position requires travel 5% of the time.
- This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
