Onity Capital Markets team is seeking an accomplished professional to lead initiatives on the Agency Trading Desk, build and manage pricing models, develop and update rate sheets, execute MBS BWICs and hedging strategies, refine Agency strategies, manage risks, and lead the development and implementation of revenue-generating initiatives.
Requirements
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Bloomberg; experience with SQL or Python programming is preferred.
- Familiarity with industry tools such as Compass, MIAC, QRM, Baseline, New View, Bloomberg, and Intex is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Direct Agency sales execution for Onity’s Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and GNMA pipelines, including high-value transactions through the Cash Window and MBS BWICs.
- Strategically manage and optimize hedging frameworks to mitigate interest rate risk within the Agency loan pipeline, ensuring alignment with evolving market dynamics.
- Design, build, and maintain agency rate sheet pricing, pull-through modeling, and hedging programs to generate actionable insights and recommendations.
- Enhance and maintain daily position and activity reports to ensure an accurate pipeline and enable detailed revenue attribution analysis.
- Create and update comprehensive market analytics to track industry trends such as volumes, market share, prepayment, and delinquency rates.
- Identify, evaluate, and communicate relative value opportunities for the team using both fundamental and technical market analysis.
- Ensure robust trading and hedging risk management by adhering to established policies, procedures, and controls.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- At least 10 years in finance, including 3+ years in mortgage finance and experience with Agency Products.
- Excellent relationship management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven track record of meeting deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
- Exceptional communication skills, including experience presenting to C-Suite executives.
- Self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision.
