Vanguard is scaling a modern, data‑driven Advice & Wealth Management business and aims to double AUM by 2030, requiring data engineering functions to support AWM Analytics teams
Requirements
- 10+ years in data engineering (or adjacent), including experience leading multi‑team technical delivery
- Demonstrated experience scaling data products/pipelines on a cloud‑native stack
- Strong grounding in DataOps (observability, CI/CD, testing, quality/lineage) and FinOps (cost modeling, governance)
- Domain knowledge in advice, wealth management, and investor data preferred
Responsibilities
- Lead & grow a 15–20 person data engineering function
- Own delivery outcomes: plan and sequence work across teams; remove impediments; uphold SLAs for data products/pipelines that power AWM Analytics
- Leverage Generative AI and other technologies to boost engineer productivity and data‑product quality
- Partner across the enterprise to advance data engineering maturity, evolve our tech stack, and align to architecture roadmaps
