Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Senior Manager, Data Governance & Maturity to lead the deployment, execution, and continuous improvement of the Commercial Engine Operations data governance framework, with a strong focus on enabling data quality, accessibility, compliance, and value generation.
Requirements
- Experience with AI project identification, piloting, and implementation.
- Working knowledge of data privacy regulations and compliance requirements.
- Experience with tools such as Axon, Informatica, Alation, Azure Purview, or similar
- Functional knowledge of frameworks such as DAMA-DMBOK, DCAM, or equivalent.
- Understanding of AI/ML concepts, lifecycle management, and ethical considerations.
- Familiarity with data architecture, MDM, metadata management, cloud platforms, and AI toolsets.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft tool suite O365
Responsibilities
- Deploy, execute, and mature the data governance strategy and standard work in alignment with business objectives and enterprise requirements; deploy training programs to educate the organization on the data governance program, tools required, and importance of their role in sustained success.
- Serve as a liaison between leadership, business units, and technical teams to ensure adoption and integration of governance principles; establish and maintain data stewardship networks to ensure accountability and ownership of data assets (Communities of Practice)
- Oversee the deployment of data dictionaries, glossaries, and metadata repositories; implement data quality metrics, controls, and monitoring processes to ensure trusted, high-quality data; drive adoption of master data management (MDM) and reference data standards across the organization.
- Support the deployment and adoption of digital enablement initiatives as they are released across the enterprise; identify AI opportunities aligned with business priorities, operational needs, and available data assets; collaborate with data scientists, analytics, and IT teams to evaluate AI tools, platforms, and methodologies for adoption ensuring alignment between IT and business process owners.
- Monitor AI project outcomes, ensuring continuous improvement and measurable ROI; lead organizational change management efforts to embed data governance and AI literacy across functions.
- Deploy training programs and resources to promote best practices in data management and communicate program milestones, progress, and impacts to stakeholders.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree and 10 or more years' experience in a data management, information systems, computer science, technology or closely related discipline OR a Master's Degree 7 or more years' experience or more years' experience in a data management, information systems, computer science, technology or closely related discipline.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
- Quarterly travel or more, is required to the corporate location quarterly
- Degree in a STEM field.
- Experience working in a highly regulated industries (e.g., financial services, healthcare, aerospace, manufacturing, food & beverage, pharmaceuticals)
