Toyota's Enterprise Data Science Department is looking to leverage AI/ML for driving significant business efficiency by leading their Marketing, Customer, and Sales Data Science team to enhance customer engagement, optimize marketing campaigns, and boost sales performance across Toyota's North American operations.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in data science, with at least 5+ years in a managerial role leading teams in marketing, customer, or sales data science.
- Proven expertise in machine learning, statistical modeling, and tools like Python, SQL, or similar, with hands-on experience deploying solutions in cloud environments (AWS preferred).
- Experience with automotive-specific data, such as consumer online footprint, connected vehicle insights or dealer performance analytics.
- Familiarity with advanced techniques like generative AI, optimization algorithms, or experimentation frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Lead a cross-functional team of data scientists, analysts, and engineers to develop and deploy advanced AI/ML solutions for marketing, customer, and sales.
- Define and execute data science roadmaps aligned with business goals, including performance targets for customer acquisition, customer personalization, lifecycle management, and sales optimization.
- Oversee the development of predictive models, such as marketing mix modeling (MMM), customer lifetime value (LTV) forecasting, and propensity models, to inform strategic decisions.
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, and product teams to integrate data insights into operations, fostering innovation and continuous improvement.
- Stay abreast of industry trends in AI/ML, big data, and automotive analytics to drive innovation, ensuring Toyota remains competitive in customer-centric data strategies.
Other
- Master's or PhD (preferred) in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to translate complex data insights into actionable strategies for non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in the automotive or high value item consumer facing industry, with a track record of delivering impactful outcomes in customer segmentation, campaign optimization, and sales forecasting.
- Prior leadership in cross-functional projects involving marketing technology stacks.
