Coates Group is looking for a Tech Lead to provide strategic direction and lead technical execution for software engineering teams, ensuring the successful delivery of project work and contributing to coding activities where appropriate.
Requirements
- 7+ years' experience in full stack development, (React, Node, TypeScript)
- 4+ years’ experience in web solution design
- Development of unit and end-to-end tests
- Management, deployment and scaling of cloud-based services (Lambda/RDS on AWS)
- Deep expertise in cloud technologies, programming languages and associated testing mechanisms and protocols.
- Database languages and security mechanisms.
Responsibilities
- Architect solutions in accordance with business and client needs
- Provide expert advice on technical aspects of projects
- Establish and enforce coding standards and best practices
- Manage code reviews and ensure adherence to codebase quality benchmarks
- Oversee testing strategies to ensure alignment to quality, functionality and integration requirements
- Implement improvements in processes, tools, and practices
- Ensure technical documentation relevance, accuracy and accessibility
Other
- 2+ years’ experience in people leadership
- Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Optimisation of team resources - tools, infrastructure, personnel and time
- Set clear goals, expectations, and development plans for team members.
- Provide regular coaching, feedback, and recognition to drive engagement and performance.
