Generate:Biomedicines is seeking a Senior Manager to coordinate cross-functional alignment of Discovery Research functions, ensuring the successful execution of R&D priorities across multiple teams and fostering partnerships with Digital, Data Science, Automation Engineering, and Applied AI groups. The role aims to streamline operations, improve information flow, and accelerate the adoption of new technologies to support the company's Generative Biology platform.
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to rapidly understand and address complex scientific challenges that arise within research workflows and production environments
- Experience in both early and late-stage protein production environments
- Experience in R&D prioritization and strategic planning
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or similar operational excellence frameworks
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and evolving environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines
- ML-based therapeutic protein design
- Advanced laboratory automation systems
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the cross-functional alignment of Discovery Research functions, ensuring the successful execution of R&D priorities across multiple teams, including Protein Sciences, Biology, Therapeutic Assay Sciences, and Computational Protein Generation.
- Foster close partnerships with Digital, Data Science, Automation Engineering, and Applied AI groups.
- Run alignment forums, streamline cross-functional information sharing, and manage outsourced DNA & protein production logistics.
- Synthesize insights from operational data and apply your excellent communication skills to co-author reports and presentations on the health of key platform technologies and overall execution efficacy.
- Drive clarity and change management to ensure successful onboarding of new technologies into production.
- Work closely with technology teams and Technical Program Managers to draft, adjust, execute technology onboarding roadmaps.
- Proactively diagnose operational friction in digital tooling, clearly document requirements, and facilitate solutions that measurably improve user experience and efficiency.
