Cohere Health's Machine Learning Team is focused on using a variety of payer and provider data to automate and augment the prior authorization process. This role will answer critical business and clinical questions by designing and implementing machine learning solutions.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in machine learning
- Solid understanding and experience in machine learning algorithms, statistics, pattern recognition, classification, and data mining models.
- Advanced understanding on NLP and large language models.
- Strong software development skills with proficiency in Python.
- Experienced user of ML and data science libraries.
- Ability to meaningfully present results of analyses in a clear and impactful manner.
- Able to break down sophisticated machine learning model knowledge to digestible information for non-technical audiences.
Responsibilities
- Provide thought leadership & strategic thinking to translate business problems into analytical frameworks, and independently recommend actions and provide business insights
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to understand their business needs, formulate and complete end-to-end analysis that includes data gathering, analysis, ongoing scaled deliverables and presentations
- Establish and maintain effective performance tracking; identify product and program improvement opportunities, form hypotheses, propose, design and implement tests to drive enhancement and optimization
- Lead a team of machine learning engineers to execute multiple projects at any given time, utilizing different skill sets where applicable
- Establish best practices and coach junior members to develop and execute with scalability and reusability in mind
- Communicate machine learning concepts, project results, and actionable insights to senior leadership and non-technical stakeholders.
- Translate complex business problems into end-to-end machine learning products with a quantifiable business impact
Other
- at least 3 years of management experience hiring and developing teams
- Advance degree (MS or Ph.D.) in a quantitative field, Statistics, Math, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Machine Learning.
- Proven track record in building and scaling teams, including recruitment, mentoring, and performance management.
- Health-tech experience highly preferred
