Requirements
- Experience building and deploying modern services and web applications with quality and scalability
- Constant drive to learn new technologies such as Angular, React, Kubernetes, Docker, etc.
- Expertise with one of the development languages, like python, java
- Expertise with system level knowledge, linux, windows, etc
- Good understanding of public cloud, AWS, GCP or Azure
- Good understanding of popular tracing solutions, like OTEL
- Proven experience delivering highly scalable and available production systems.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and implement observability solution that is a critical part of Visa’s operational system, while influencing Visa’s internal standards for scalability, security, and reusability
- Collaborate multi-functionally to create design artifacts and develop best-in-class observability solutions for multiple Visa technical offerings
- Work with key stakeholders in product development, infrastructure and operation team to provide the best quality and high reliability observability solutions that fit their business need.
- Leverage innovative technologies to build the next generation of tracing and cloud observability solution
- Lead a team of system and software engineers. Provide coaching and support to achieve highest quality of work.
- Works with key stakeholders to gather and refine requirements for tracing and cloud observability solution
- Develops and designs advanced cloud observability and tracing solutions that are robust and scalable, considering integrations with other solutions across the internal technical ecosystem.
Other
- 8+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree, OR 11+ years of relevant work experience
- 2-3 years experience leading teams. Number of years of relevant experience is little flexible if you have excellent track record
- Strong analytical, problem solving and communication/articulation and reporting skills.
- Strong business acumen, ability to grasp big picture and explain to team in simple terms.
- Ability to manage multiple competing top priorities in a fast-paced environment.
