Schwab Wealth & Asset Management Engineering (WAME) Technology is looking to hire a Software Development Manager to manage the software development lifecycle, build and realize the strategy for teams supporting the dynamic needs of the WAME business, and develop client-driven technology solutions.
Requirements
- At least 6-years of professional experience developing enterprise applications using Java, J2EE, Springboot, SQL Server, JSON, REST
- Recent experience working in Agile teams preferably for financial institutions
- Some experience with cloud/ cloud foundry platform; GCP/AWS will be a plus
- Experience in building services-based software for portfolio optimization using industrial optimization products like Axioma, Gurobi, etc.
Responsibilities
- Designs/develops software solutions and business process solutions based on business needs.
- Lead application components of moderate complexity.
- Provide technical design input in overall project.
- Focus on quality based on Schwab’s standards.
- Mentors and develops team members in honing their analytical thinking skills and problem-solving capabilities.
- Collaborates with stakeholders to identify and implement data-driven approaches to optimize team performance.
- Actively seeks out and evaluates emerging trends or technologies to identify opportunities for innovation within the business area.

- This is a Software Development Manager role based in Southlake TX/Austin TX, managing the software development lifecycle including the coordination, prioritization and communication across the business product areas.
- The role includes the hands-on development role, building a client driven technology organization.
- The role entails full Agile and DevOps model in partnership of SAMS business
- Good communication skills, ability to express ideas clearly and communicate with business users
