Zscaler is looking to solve the problem of securing digital transformation by protecting customers from cyberattacks and data loss through its cloud-native Zero Trust Exchange platform. The role is focused on enhancing the ZScaler Cloud Connector, ZT Gateway, and ZScaler Microsegmentation clouds to ensure secure and efficient connectivity.
Requirements
- 15+ years of software development experience with at least 5 years of focus in building distributed solutions for ‘software as a Service’ platform for cloud scale and performance
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols and services - DNS, HTTP, TCP/IP, SSL/TLS and knowledge of Firewall policy enforcement and traffic forwarding rules
- Good experience in working with AWS/Azure/GCP networking, namely - transit gateway, IGW, NATGW, NACL, security groups. GWLB, ILB, Route53, Azure DNS
- Experience in agile collaboration models (e.g. Kanban/Scrum) and Jira
- Track record of hiring, grooming and retaining top talent
- Strong distributed systems and SaaS development experience
- Strong knowledge of Firewalls and Networking protocols
Responsibilities
- Leading end-to-end development, test, deploy and monitor of services in our ZScaler Cloud Connector, ZT Gateway and ZScaler Microsegmentation clouds
- Contributing to the ZTC (Zero Trust for Cloud) leadership team while managing the local India development team
- Working closely with cross-functional teams to manage changing priorities, ensure timelines, support escalations, and enhance collaboration between local and remote team
- Leading by example, offer hands-on involvement, mentor engineers to grow their skills, and oversee critical tasks like code reviews, bug triaging, and build processes
- Maintaining a customer-first mindset by participating in escalations, demos, beta trials, and delivering a product centered around an exceptional customer experience
