CVS Health is seeking a Senior Manager - Software Development Engineering within the Aetna Digital team, to lead a team developing applications pivotal in shaping the digital experience for millions of Aetna members.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional Information Technology experience
- 3+ years of experience leading / managing teams with direct reports with additional experience in leading medium to large sized teams of diverse development engineers across multiple locations.
- 2+ years partnering with architecture, product, and program management teams to influence product development assisting or improving products
- Experience with leading teams who follow a Scrum/Agile development methodology
- Experience managing multiple work streams and dependencies
- Understand of performance, optimization
Responsibilities

- Direct activities for a team of software development engineers, providing guidance and mentorship, and setting performance goals to contribute to the company's business objectives
- Develop strategy for software development projects, defining project requirements, timelines and deliverables to drive effective execution
- Lead department throughout the software development life cycle operations, including backlog grooming, sizing, prioritization, demonstrations and delivery
- Ensure the department adheres to best practices, quality standards, and industry trends
- Collaborate with multiple cross-functional teams, including product managers and business stakeholders, aligning priorities, resolving conflicts, and maintaining productive relationships
- Hire software development engineers, conduct performance reviews and foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes continuous learning opportunities
- Be able to identify a vision along with the plans, which need to be implemented to meet the end goal, evaluating situations, decisions, and issues in the short, medium, and long term
