Capital One's Digital Commerce & Innovation organization is seeking a Software Engineer, People Leader, at the Senior Manager level with a passion for building and growing full stack applications to join its Velocity Black by Capital One team. Requirements
- At least 1 year experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
- 3+ years of experience in one or both of the following: Python, Typescript
- 2+ years of experience in Agile practices and landing AI use cases in production
- 3+ years of experience with AWS
- Familiarity with AI tools (Retrieval Augment Generation (RAG), Vector databases, Prompt engineering, LangChain, Llama, EMP, Sandbox, Haystack)
- Successful in-market implementation of UI/UX frontend development using React
- Familiarity with Node, React
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers with deep experience in distributed microservices, and full stack systems to create solutions that help meet regulatory needs for the company
- Design, build and deliver meaningful consumer products powered by the latest technology with a focus bringing cohesiveness and development to features for for web and mobile
- Partner with a cross-functional team of engineers, research scientists, technical program managers, and product managers to evolve how our customers interact with Capital One
- Work within and across teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions across a full-stack of development tools and technologies
- Lead the craftsmanship, availability, resilience, and scalability of our solutions

- At least 4 years of people management experience
- Bachelor’s Degree
- At least 6 years of experience in software engineering (Internship experience does not apply)
- Master’s Degree
