Progress Residential is looking for a Senior Manager, Software Engineering to manage and mentor a team of software developers and admins, provide architecture oversight, and operational support for critical enterprise platforms. The goal is to ensure timely delivery of high-quality applications leveraging agile and DevOps practices, enabling efficient operations through infrastructure solutioning, continuous delivery, and system sustainment.
Requirements
- prior experience managing development teams working on internal and customer facing applications, as well as working closely with teams providing operational support for infrastructure architecture & 3rd party cloud platforms.
- strong understanding of agile software development and how that impacts the operations of software
- Experience with entire software development lifecycle (Agile, SDLC, Iterative).
- ITIL understanding and familiarity with modern application architecture design patterns.
- Experience deploying and managing Salesforce Platform a strong plus.
- Proficient in Design Thinking and Agile/Scrum methodology.
- Ability to log, track, and manage issues, bugs, and enhancement/ features requests logged in JIRA.
Responsibilities
- providing architecture oversight and operational support guidance for custom and business critical platforms used in the enterprise.
- leading technical design, development, delivery, and operation of applications while managing respective agile work-streams closely.
- develop effective working relationships with various members of application development, infrastructure, customer support, property management and central operations business teams.
- influencing improvements, thought leadership on the development process, and contributing to the coding and development of our applications.
- responsible for development workstreams across product teams.
- Implement test-and-learn frameworks to continuously improve and iterate on product capabilities from MVP to national rollout and beyond.
- Review project requirements & business cases to develop technical designs and lead teams to implement changes.
