Mattress Firm is looking to hire a Senior Manager, Software Engineering to lead development teams in building and deploying customer-first systems using modern technologies and integrations across multiple systems.

Responsibilities
- Manage, plan, and execute web development for Web applications.
- Enforce technical and coding standards within the web development team, including security and ADA Compliance standards
- Ensure that all code has high test unit coverage, automation scripts, and peer code reviews.
- Provide the necessary tools and processes for the development team including but not limited to CI/CD process, Automation, etc.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional technical leads and architects to come up with solution architecture for the application.
- Lead the building of custom JavaScript components/modules that can be reused by all developers.
- Researches and designs application development, infrastructure, or service standards.
Other
- Provides formal supervision to individual employees within single functional or operational area.
- Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, including overtime. Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff.
- Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies. Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values.
- Delegate and systematize the administrative, process-based parts of work, enabling more focus on high-impact, strategic work.
- Communicate professionally with all internal and external contacts.
