Jobgether is looking for a Senior Manager Software Engineering, AI Experiences to lead and grow a high-performing engineering team building next-generation AI-powered experiences that enhance web and mobile products, driving measurable business impact.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 4+ years managing software engineers.
- Proven track record leading teams of 8+ engineers to deliver high-impact features in production.
- Hands-on experience building and shipping ML/AI-powered products, including LLM or large-scale NLP systems.
- Proficiency in at least one backend language (Python, Go, Java) and major cloud platforms (AWS or GCP).
- Strong SQL skills for data analysis and instrumentation.
- Experience designing, operating, and scaling services with SLOs, observability, on-call ownership, and incident response.
- Familiarity with experimentation platforms, A/B testing, and data-informed decision making.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and grow a team of 10+ engineers, fostering an inclusive, high-trust culture.
- Drive end-to-end delivery of AI-powered features, from roadmap and scoping to launch and iteration.
- Provide technical leadership across LLM systems, including prompt orchestration, retrieval-augmented generation, safety/guardrails, and latency/cost optimization.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, Data Science, Research, and Operations teams to prioritize initiatives and influence strategy.
- Establish engineering excellence practices: code quality, testing, observability, SLOs, incident response, on-call health, and privacy/security best practices.
- Hire, manage performance, and create career growth paths for team members.
- Measure business impact through instrumentation and A/B testing, iterating rapidly based on data-driven insights.
