Palo Alto Networks' Next-Gen Firewall / Cloud Security test engineering team is looking for a seasoned and accomplished Senior Manager with experience in Automation, Networking, and/or Firewall Security technologies to qualify ground-breaking Next-Gen Firewall / Cloud Security products and services.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and a strong proficiency in Python.
- Deep understanding and practical experience with CI/CD pipelines and associated tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab).
- Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to improve testing efficiency and code quality.
- Strong domain expertise in building and delivering large-scale Networking/Security Products & Solutions.
- Good understanding of Enterprise and SaaS products
Responsibilities
- Lead and participate in all phases of the product development cycle, from definition and design through implementation, testing, and field deployments.
- Stays updated with advancements and the usage of AI (for coding, quality processes, etc.), evaluate their relevance, and incorporate them to enhance systems.
- Provide direction to the team on best practices, templates, and frameworks for automation.
- Work closely with Engineering escalation and customer support teams to improve end-customer outcomes.
- Participate in the design, code review, and deployment of scalable software systems.
- Driving root cause analysis and corrective actions.

- Lead cross-functionally with PANOS software, Prisma Access/SASE, CDSS, Operations, and Quality Engineering teams to bring new products and services to market in a timely fashion with excellent quality.
- Be a strong mentor and coach to the team, investing in their growth and development while holding them accountable for goals and milestones.
- BS/MS in Computer Science, another engineering/technical degree, or equivalent military experience is required.
- 15+ years of experience in highly technical roles in test engineering or enterprise services.
- 5+ years in management roles.
- Experience leading software test teams involved with qualifying features and customer use cases.
- Experience with customer engagements (both proactive and reactive)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
