Walmart Marketplace is looking to drive growth, planning, and process improvement initiatives across the Marketplace segments, creating frictionless seller experiences and identifying strategic opportunities that create shared value for sellers, customers, and Walmart.

Requirements

  • Experience in B2C Marketplace channel
  • Expertise in Pricing and / or Price Incentives and discounts for sellers
  • Strong analytical skills with deep experience across sales planning and forecasting, business performance analyses, market sizing and business case development.
  • Experience with SQL, Looker, Python or similar data querying languages
  • Ability to distill complex business issues and strategies to highlight insights and actionable recommendations in a concise and persuasive manner.

Responsibilities

  • Driving strategic initiatives: Identify and implement vertical business and seller growth initiatives in conjunction with the Marketplace strategy and program teams.
  • Delivering data-driven insights: Develop insightful market and business intelligence including industry trends, competitive threats, category/assortment opportunities, etc. and advise the Hardlines MP leadership team on strategic implications and actions.
  • Implementing new processes and ways of working: Build effective ways of working across teams and drive collaboration and coordination across functions.
  • Managing the operating plan: Create best practices around category and seller business reviews, track/report financial performance, and work with the Merchandise Operations on ongoing planning activities.
  • Advocating for the platform: Champion and evangelize our platform, and its evolving capabilities, to our Marketplace sellers and internal stakeholders.
  • Developing Talent: Manage, coach and train a team of high-performing Associates in the development and execution of strategic initiatives.

Other

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or equivalent experience in business or related field
  • 7-10+ years of successful merchandising, strategy and planning, project management, product management or eCommerce experience.
  • 3+ years demonstrated experience managing a team.
  • Ability to work as part of a cross-functional team to drive business positive outcomes.
  • Assertive, adaptable and demonstrates initiative in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
