Versant is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to build high-performing teams, deliver impactful solutions, and foster innovation, particularly leveraging SaaS and low-code/no-code platforms in a startup-like environment.
Requirements
- Possess a software development background with expertise in modern cloud-native programming languages (Python, Go) and traditional ones (Java, .NET, Javascript)
- Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures and modern development practices.
- Experience with GenAI, SaaS platforms, low-code/no-code tools
- Exposure to serverless technologies, distributed systems, and DevOps practices.
- Familiarity with startup environments or greenfield product development.
Responsibilities
- Lead and grow a team of engineers focused on delivering scalable, secure, and business-aligned solutions.
- Promote best practices with quality and timely delivery in mind.
- Promote the use of SaaS, low-code/no-code platforms to accelerate delivery and reduce custom development.
- Partner with architects and principal engineers to ensure sound design and implementation practices.
- Drive Agile Delivery: Lead engineering teams in applying Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe) to plan, prioritize, and deliver high-quality software.
- Facilitate sprint ceremonies, ensure backlog health, remove delivery obstacles, and promote a culture of continuous improvement and transparency across cross-functional teams.
- Experience modernizing legacy systems and integrating with modern platforms.
