Boston Scientific is looking to solve challenges in the health industry by improving equipment and processes for optimal manufacturability and product quality within their Core Endoscopy production unit.
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years' experience in a related manufacturing or engineering role
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a supervisory or management capacity
- Demonstrated experience in project management and execution
- Proven track record of successful leadership and team development
- Experience with manufacturing process improvement methodologies and tools (e.g., LEAN, DMAIC, VIP)
- Experience in medical device manufacturing
Responsibilities
- Coordinates departmental activities to ensure equipment and processes are designed, validated, and optimized for efficient and compliant manufacturing
- Drives a culture of innovation and continuous improvement through lean manufacturing and operational excellence tools
- Identifies and implements improvements in manufacturing processes and equipment to enhance product quality and operational efficiency
- Develops and enforces operational policies and ensures compliance with applicable regulations (e.g., FDA, BSI, EEO)
Other
- Recruits, develops, and coaches engineering talent while fostering a diverse, inclusive, and high-performing team culture
- Provides leadership, direction, and guidance to exempt specialists, supervisors, and non-exempt employees within the manufacturing engineering function
- Demonstrates effective change leadership while aligning with the company’s mission, vision, and values
- Builds and maintains strong cross-functional partnerships to support business goals and strategic initiatives
- Manages departmental budgets, resources, and operational plans to meet key performance objectives
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline
- Strong communication skills and ability to influence across multiple organizational levels
