GE Appliances is looking to improve product quality, reduce cost, and ensure manufacturing excellence in their AP1 Laundry Production.
Requirements
- Strong background in multi-stage material processing (stamping, forming, welding), SPC, and data-driven problem-solving.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, AutoCAD, Minitab, and Outlook.
- Proven knowledge of Measurement System Analysis (MSA) and measurement technologies.
- Experience with Controls, Systems, or IoT.
- Process-oriented mindset with focus on both equipment and personnel.
Responsibilities
- Establish, sustain, and continuously improve product quality through systems such as Training & Certification, QMS, TPM, Calibration, and Risk Management.
- Lead training, execution, auditing, and improvement for all quality attributes in your assigned area.
- Drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions (CAPA, SCAR/CAR), collaborating with operations, maintenance, and lean teams.
- Address abnormalities in testing and performance, coordinating audits, product holds, and lab testing when needed.
- Partner with the New Product Introduction (NPI) team to apply process capability knowledge to new designs, processes, and testing technologies.
- Monitor Statistical Process Control (SPC) data, respond to trends, and lead corrective actions.
- Identify and execute projects to reduce scrap costs while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

- A self-starter with a proven record of leading cross-functional technical programs and driving results.
- Ability to work across multiple levels—from shop floor to leadership—while influencing decisions and driving accountability.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Primarily 1st shift; flexibility required for occasional support during weekends or 2nd/3rd shifts.
- Travel up to 10% to suppliers or other manufacturing sites.
