Pantheon Data is seeking a Senior Marine Electronics Engineer / Software Engineer (Cybersecurity) to lead the design, development, and protection of shipboard electronic systems, ensuring they meet national security requirements and mentoring junior engineers.
Requirements
- 15+ years of progressive experience in Electronics Engineering, with a strong track record of leadership in both technical execution and team development.
- A minimum of 10 years' documented experience in cybersecurity, with expertise in the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) and its application to shipboard systems.
- Demonstrated experience with cybersecurity implementation, specification development for acquisition contracts, and risk-informed design decisions.
- Strong background in leading design reviews, verification, and validation efforts with a focus on critical, mission-aligned outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Apply your deep expertise in Electronics Engineering and Cybersecurity to lead the implementation of cybersecurity requirements for marine and shipboard systems.
- Provide guidance and leadership for all cybersecurity-related verification and validation activities within the Electronics Engineering discipline.
- Support the development and refinement of specifications for acquisition contracts, ensuring they meet DoD and mission-specific cybersecurity requirements.
- Review and provide thoughtful feedback on design review comments from junior engineers, and advise senior decision-makers on critical design considerations and risk-based decisions.
- Mentor and support junior engineers in understanding and applying shipboard cybersecurity design principles, fostering their growth and confidence in this highly specialized domain.
