Steelcase is looking to leverage data to drive product innovation, reduce risk, and influence product development by hiring a role that can conduct impactful research and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
Requirements
- Expertise in statistical analysis and tools such as SPSS or similar software
- Experience with advanced survey platforms (e.g., Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey).
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
- Familiarity with programming languages like SQL or Python for data preparation and analysis
- Advanced modeling experience, such as forecasting or pricing simulations
- Strong knowledge of survey methodology and design, including monadic and sequential monadic methods
Responsibilities
- Designing and launching surveys using advanced logic and quality checks, managing research panels and vendors, and ensuring data quality
- Conducting concept trade-off and pricing research to understand how customers value different features and price points
- Analyzing and modeling data by applying statistical methods such as descriptive statistics, significance testing, regression, cluster analysis, and demand forecasting to uncover insights and estimate market potential
- Developing customer segments through statistical clustering techniques to support marketing and sales strategies
- Translating insights into action by creating clear, practical recommendations and leading discussions that guide confident decision-making
- Improving research processes by building templates, dashboards, and documentation to make insights easy to share and reuse
