Intralox, LLC is looking to develop new products by creating methods, tools, and equipment to evaluate the performance of prototype and production designs.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency with 3D CAD (SolidWorks, Creo, or equivalent).
- Hands-on experience building, testing, or qualifying mechanical prototypes.
- Apply mechanical principles (kinematics, stress analysis, thermodynamics, materials science, and fluid mechanics) to develop robust and efficient designs.
- Create detailed 3D models and drawings in SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
- Develop and execute validation test plans for performance, durability, and safety.
- Analyze data to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Troubleshoot mechanical systems
Responsibilities
- Drive mechanical design efforts from concept through production release, balancing innovation with manufacturability and reliability.
- Apply mechanical principles (kinematics, stress analysis, thermodynamics, materials science, and fluid mechanics) to develop robust and efficient designs.
- Create detailed 3D models and drawings in SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
- Develop and execute validation test plans for performance, durability, and safety.
- Analyze data to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Build and operate test equipment, troubleshoot mechanical systems, and iterate on designs using real-world feedback.
- Document and communicate findings.
Other
- 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience, preferably in new product design, industrial equipment, or automation systems.
- Analytical approach combined with a strong bias for action.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills; comfortable collaborating across disciplines.
