Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) KC-46 Tanker Program is seeking a Senior Mission Systems (MS) Engineering Manager to lead the Mission Systems engineering team for production support, upgrades, and sustainment of KC-46 Communications, Navigation, Mission Computing, Military and Tactical Data Networks, and Defensive Systems.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience leading and partnering with cross-functional teams, involving key stakeholder relationship management.
  • 5+ years of experience working within a fast-paced team environment, which required strong communication skills to frequently interact with leadership or internal and external customer representatives.
  • 5+ years of experience in a management position.
  • Experience with schedule and budget management, integration of all logistics elements, customer communication, as well as understanding of execution of program planning to ensure cost, schedule, and technical baseline requirements are met.
  • Earned Value Management experience.
  • Experience and knowledge of Mission Systems.
  • Prior experience and knowledge of KC-46.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Mission Systems employees performing engineering and technical activities in support of KC-46 production, delivery, and development programs.
  • Perform Risk, Issue, and Opportunity (RIO) management; develop and execute integrated plans, policies, processes, and procedures for Mission Systems.
  • Interface with BDS Mission Systems leadership and other teams across the enterprise to ensure proper project planning and implementation, fulfillment of assistance needs, and incorporation of lessons learned.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with domestic and international customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports.
  • Manage, motivate, and develop employees; acquire new resources for organizational activities.
  • Support study contracts, IRAD, and new business proposal campaigns.
  • Provide technical management of suppliers.
