Apple's Music Creation Apps team is looking to build the next generation of AI-driven features for Logic Pro and GarageBand to augment the music-making process, providing intelligent assistance to artists while maintaining creative control.
Requirements
- Experience implementing machine learning solutions for audio, speech, or music applications to customers.
- Experience integrating machine learning models into consumer-facing applications from prototype to production.
- Experience optimizing machine learning models for on-device deployment
- Experience designing data augmentation pipelines.
- Experience developing production software applications using Python, C++ or Swift.
- Experience writing code for model training pipelines and evaluation tools using Python.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP).
- Experience with Apple frameworks for ML development (CoreML, Foundation Models framework).
- Experience developing real-time audio processing software and digital signal processing.
Responsibilities
- Lead and guide implementation of machine learning features for Logic Pro and GarageBand.
- Collaborate with product designers, software engineers and other domain experts to craft new AI-driven music creation experiences.
- Coordinate and share work and research with machine learning researchers across Apple.
- Optimize ML model performance for deployment on macOS and iOS devices, ensuring efficient resource utilization.
- Contribute to the full feature development lifecycle from concept through launch, iterating based on feedback and quality metrics.
Other
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Machine Learning, or related technical field, and 5+ years of work experience in the software industry.
- Experience with music and audio technologies, recording or producing music or playing an instrument is a big plus.
