The Motley Fool is looking to evolve its flagship mobile application to help millions of users make better investment decisions and take control of their financial futures.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in mobile app development, with strong React Native expertise.
- Proven experience building and deploying production-grade apps for both iOS and Android using React Native and Expo.
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, with solid knowledge of mobile architecture and performance optimization.
- Experience integrating RESTful APIs and managing application state using tools like Redux or MobX.
- Strong skills in translating Figma or Sketch designs into high-quality, pixel-perfect mobile interfaces.
- Knowledge of component libraries and a passion for building scalable, reusable components.
- Familiarity with mobile app testing frameworks and CI tools.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of the next iteration of our mobile application using React Native and Expo.
- Collaborate closely with design (Figma), product, and back-end teams to ship features that delight users.
- Build reusable components and front-end libraries, driving a modular, scalable codebase.
- Optimize apps for performance, accessibility, and cross-platform functionality (iOS + Android).
- Proactively identify and resolve UX pain points to streamline user flows and improve usability.
- Implement automated testing and CI/CD workflows to ensure stability and speed of delivery.
- Conduct and participate in code reviews, provide mentorship to other developers, and promote engineering best practices.
