Purple Wave is looking to shape the future of their mobile applications ecosystem and needs a Senior Mobile Engineering Manager to lead the creation of their new customer-facing Purplewave.com mobile app and oversee their internal apps portfolio.
Requirements
- Strong familiarity with cloud architecture, preferably AWS.
- Technical background in one or more of our primary tech stacks: Ruby on Rails, React/TypeScript, Java/Kotlin (Android), or Swift (iOS).
- Experience leading Agile teams in hybrid/remote environments.
- Familiarity with Terraform or similar Infrastructure as Code tools.
- Exposure to automated testing frameworks and CI/CD delivery pipelines.
- Experience coordinating or overseeing external vendors or outsourced teams.
- Background in mobile-first, customer-facing product environments.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the support and enhancement of internal mobile and web applications used by our field teams and operations.
- Scope, architect, and deliver the Purplewave.com mobile app—either by building a new internal team or by partnering with and managing an external vendor.
- Drive architectural decisions, scalability, maintainability, and best practices across all application codebases.
- Foster cross-functional alignment across product, design, QA, infrastructure, and executive leadership.
- Champion modern engineering principles including CI/CD, automated testing, and infrastructure as code.
- Establish and maintain strong feedback loops to ensure continuous product and process improvement.
- Lead the strategic integration of AI technologies throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to enhance efficiency, quality, and innovation.
Other
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 5+ years of progressive engineering leadership, including direct management of managers or multiple cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage complexity, make data-informed decisions, and influence across organizational boundaries.
