FIS is looking for an advanced technical role to manage Capital Markets Infrastructure Oracle databases, providing 24x7 support for Oracle platforms, covering application development teams, production operations, and infrastructure management across global environments.
Requirements
- strong Oracle development background, including expertise in SQL tuning, partitioning, schema and sequence design
- hands-on experience managing production technologies such as Exadata, Oracle RAC, Data Guard, Korn, and Perl scripting to maintain ‘home grown’ scripts.
- Development DBA background
- Expert in developing database applications PL/SQL packages, functions, procedures, and complex SQL
- Architect, Configure, Install, Upgrade oracle database
- Experience manages databases on Exadata, ODA, Azure, and AWS
- Implement High Availability systems like Oracle RAC, Active Data Guard, Golden Gate
Responsibilities
- Support the application development lifecycle by ensuring that database structures are designed and optimized to meet the needs of the application.
- Provides status reports (written and/or verbal) that are detailed to tasks and difficulties encountered
- Assists application groups with design development that meet current and future business requirements:
- Provides specific direction on infrastructure design to support applications.
- Provides maintenance of physical database:
- Performs routine reviews of databases and systems to ensure acceptable levels of performance.
- Works with capacity planning, operations, application developers and other CIO teams on database performance and access issues.
Other
- Meets commitments and provides excellent customer service at all times with internal and external clients.
- Ensures issues resulting in customer outage is escalated appropriately through CIO management.
- Follows and meets project timelines and deadlines.
- Provides 24/7 support of production database environments.
- As primary administrator, provides on call support as needed for on-call issues with database environments and provides follow up and permanent resolution for reoccurring issues.
