Truist Financial Corporation is looking to solve the problem of real-time payments innovation by designing and developing scalable, cloud-native applications using modern Java frameworks, Java Microservices, and Apigee Edge.
Requirements
- In-depth knowledge in information systems and ability to identify, apply, and implement best practices
- Understanding of key business processes and competitive strategies related to the IT function
- Knowledge of specific applications, technology platforms, programming languages, systems, or business segments
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform Apigee Edge
- Experience with REST api’s using JAVA, J2EE, JSON etc.
- Experience with Open Source tools and frameworks
- Experience with cloud technologies, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
Responsibilities
- Develop customized coding, software integration, perform analysis, configure solutions, using Java microservices on AWS platform or proxies on Apigee Edge platform, implement secure and scalable API’s.
- Create and validate REST API documentation using swagger and OAS. Collaborate with the development team to ensure that OAS definitions align with the API functionality.
- Build and create shared flows for Error Handling, Security and other scenarios.
- Lead and participate in the development, testing, implementation, maintenance, and support of highly complex solutions in adherence to company standards, including robust unit testing and support for subsequent release testing.
- Build non-functional monitoring capabilities and provide escalated support for highly complex applications in production, leveraging Java or Apigee Edge for API Management, performance optimization and real time monitoring.
- Build in and maintain security controls and monitoring in support of company standards. Develop API policies for authentication, authorization, logging and security and implement security best practices such as OAuth, API keys, and JWT for securing APIs.
- Work with internal teams to integrate APIs with back end systems and third party services.

- Bachelor’s Degree and six to ten years of experience or equivalent education and software engineering training or experience
- Ability to plan and manage projects and solve complex problems by applying best practices
- Ability to provide direction and mentor less experienced teammates. Ability to interpret and convey complex, difficult, or sensitive information
- Minimal and up to 10% travel required
- Able to work all hours scheduled, including overtime as directed by manager/supervisor and required by business need.
