Wayfair is evolving its People Analytics function into an Analytics Center of Excellence (ACE) and needs a Senior Analyst to drive its mission forward by leveraging advanced analytics to diagnose talent challenges and provide data-driven recommendations that shape talent strategy and enhance the employee experience.
Requirements
- Quantitative Skills: A bachelor's or master's degree in a quantitative or I/O field (e.g., Business Analytics, Data Science, Mathematics, Economics, or Statistics) with a strong command of statistics.
- Technical Proficiency: Extensive experience using at least one structured programming language (e.g., SQL, Python, or R) is required.
- Proficiency with dashboarding tools like Visier, Looker, or Tableau is a plus.
- 3+ years of experience in people analytics or a similar analytical role in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex business problems using data analysis and modeling.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a proven track record of building compelling narratives with data.
Responsibilities
- Consultative Partnership: Act as a consultative partner for the organization, building relationships with stakeholders across different levels and teams. You will apply your expertise to provide data-driven recommendations and help them make informed talent decisions.
- Research & Advanced Analytics: Conduct in-depth research and build advanced analytical models to proactively identify and solve complex talent challenges.
- Employee Listening: Work on employee listening programs, designing and implementing strategies to gather and analyze employee feedback to improve engagement and retention.
- Data Storytelling: Translate sophisticated analyses into a logical, convincing business narrative that is easy to follow and resonates with a senior audience.
- External Research & Benchmarking: Conduct external research and benchmarking to provide additional context and insights on the state of our talent organization
- AI for Analytics: Explore and leverage AI to enhance our workflows and enable a strong user experience with our products.
- Collaboration & Mentorship: Collaborate effectively as a team player, working with colleagues to share knowledge and contribute to the overall success of the team.
