Booz Allen needs a platform engineer to build, manage, and secure a container platform that meets client needs and takes advantage of cloud capabilities, solving some of the client's toughest challenges.
Requirements
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, vSphere, and Helm
- Experience with cloud computing platforms, such as Azure, AWS, GovCloud, or Pivotal Cloud Foundry
- Experience creating advanced networking configurations for cloud applications in different environments using YAML and JSON-based schemas
- Experience with a major Linux distribution, including Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, or similar
- Experience working with automated testing tools to perform testing and maintenance
- Experience with Agile methodology, extreme programming, software engineering, product management, and software products
- Experience acquiring client requirements and resolving workflow problems through automation optimization
Responsibilities
- Develop container management software
- Guide the team in using the latest cloud technologies to improve the client's environment with current container software
- Inform strategy and design while ensuring standards are met throughout the containerization process
- Recommend resources to help the client manage and securely adopt containers
- Strengthen platform skills while supporting the development of critical cloud platforms
- Work with cloud platform technology for good
- Lead the team in using cloud technologies to improve the client's environment
Other
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of experience in platform engineering or 12+ years of experience in platform engineering in lieu of a degree
- Ability to work with a team of Software Engineers
- Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional team
- Must be willing to be on camera during interviews and assessments
