BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee is looking to ensure the performance, security, and durability of their platforms by hiring a Senior Platform Engineer to maintain the infrastructure and services required to support them.
Requirements
- expertise in Windows and Linux systems administration
- hands-on experience in Ansible and Terraform
- Proficiency in YAML and PowerShell scripting
- Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and/or Microsoft Azure
- Advanced knowledge of infrastructure technologies including infrastructure services, platform technologies and monitoring tools.
Responsibilities
- Certify multiple hardware platforms and the interrelationship/interoperability of different operating systems and complex environments.
- Provide technical leadership and responsibility for the installation and certification of all supporting software and hardware in order to assure a sound deployment basis for production implementations.
- Developing data architecture to support both the production system, and the backend data science and modeling tools.
- Recommends/designs structures and tools for systems which meet business needs and takes into account target environment, performance security requirements and existing systems.
- Must be willing to adjust schedule to perform maintenance and upgrades outside of business hours and be part of an on-call rotation.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems or a related field or equivalent years of experience is required.Equivalent years of experience are defined as 4 years of professional experience.
- 5 years - Experience in Information Technology required.
- 1 year - Experience in IT engineering in an enterprise environment.
