Requirements
- Experience with the development, implementation, and maintenance of policy
- Experience with mobile ecosystems, including developers
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in an ever-changing environment
- Technical know-how to protect users and partners from abuse across Google products
- Experience with abuse areas such as malware, spam and account hijacking
- Familiarity with Google products such as Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads
- Experience with reducing risk and fighting abuse across all of Google’s products
Responsibilities
- Establish and manage global product policy and standards with a regional focus
- Identify policy issues that may affect Google and understand their impact, and manage high-impact policy escalations and suggest improvements
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to develop and implement product policies and standards
- Work cross-functionally to develop and launch products that promote user trust and uphold Google’s policies
- Work with sensitive content or situations and may be exposed to graphic, controversial, and/or upsetting topics or content
- Use technical know-how, excellent problem-solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication to protect users and partners from abuse across Google products
- Partner with teams across Google to deliver bold solutions in abuse areas such as malware, spam and account hijacking
Other
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- 5 years of experience in a policy, legal, Trust & Safety, or technology environment
- JD, MBA, or Master’s degree preferred
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in an ever-changing environment
- Ability to work globally and cross-functionally with Google engineers and product managers
