Booz Allen is looking for an experienced PostgreSQL Database Architect to help clients find answers in their data to impact important missions, by building advanced technology solutions and implementing data engineering activities. The role involves deploying and developing pipelines and platforms that organize and make disparate data meaningful, working with and guiding a multi-disciplinary team in a fast-paced, agile environment, and managing the assessment, design, building, and maintenance of scalable platforms.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience designing, implementing, and managing PostgreSQL databases in enterprise or government environments
- Experience with database security controls, backup and disaster recovery planning
- Experience in PostgreSQL replication, partitioning, and performance tuning
- Experience with cloud-based PostgreSQL, such as AWS RDS or Azure Database for PostgreSQL
- Knowledge of database architecture, data modeling, indexing, and query optimization
- Knowledge of STIGs and DoD security hardening requirements
- Ability to lead architecture reviews, data governance discussions, and integration with other platforms
