Xanterra Travel Collection is seeking a Senior Power BI Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable Power BI dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights to stakeholders across the organization, enabling them to make sound business decisions.
Requirements
- Advanced knowledge of DAX and Power Query for data transformation and modeling in Power BI.
- Experience in Power BI Service for sharing reports, managing workspaces, and automating report scheduling.
- Strong understanding of business intelligence concepts and reporting strategies.
- Ability to work with large datasets and perform performance tuning to ensure scalability and efficiency in Power BI reports.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering actionable insights to business users.
- Microsoft Power BI certification (e.g., PL-300 or PL-600).
- Familiarity with data visualization best practices and user experience design for BI solutions.
Responsibilities
- Designing and developing advanced Power BI reports, dashboards, and visualizations using DAX and Power Query.
- Translating business requirements into technical specifications and creating reports that meet business needs.
- Optimizing performance of BI solutions, including data modeling and report refresh efficiency.
- Connecting to data sources, importing data, and transforming it into Business Intelligence reporting.
- Building and maintaining complex data models in Power BI.
- Collaborating with data engineering teams to ensure high data quality and availability.
- Conducting code reviews and mentoring junior Power BI developers.

- Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to synthesize and present information clearly.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of products for authoring and collaboration is required.
- Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Ability to interact with team members at all levels of the organization and with cross functional teams.
