Koniag Data Solutions is seeking a Senior PowerBuilder Developer to support the maintenance and enhancement of an application, involving production, development, and testing environments, and providing technical support to the Cross Domain Team (CDT).
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in PowerBuilder development
- 5+ years of experience with SQL Server, Oracle, or other relational databases
- Expert-level knowledge of PowerBuilder
- Proficiency in SQL and stored procedure development
- Experience with version control systems (Git, SVN, or similar)
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall)
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain complex PowerBuilder applications
- Debug and resolve technical issues in existing applications
- Create and optimize database queries and stored procedures
- Provide technical leadership on PowerBuilder projects and mentor other developers
- Document system designs, code, and processes
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards
- Support application migration efforts from PowerBuilder to modern technologies
