Atlassian is seeking a Senior Principal Architect or Engineer (P70) to spearhead the architecture of their next-generation encryption services, aiming to define the foundation for secure, scalable, and flexible encryption services used by millions.

Requirements

• 14+ years of experience designing and building enterprise-grade solutions using microservices (Java, Kotlin, C++, Golang, etc.).
• Proven track record in large-scale web software and transformational architecture projects.
• Experience with Kubernetes-native architectures and cloud-agnostic design patterns.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture for cloud-agnostic and self-hosted storage and search infrastructure in the encryption space.
• Design and build Kubernetes-native services that meet the evolving needs of Atlassian’s cloud and on-prem customers.
• Drive technical direction for a critical pillar, collaborating with senior engineers and stakeholders across the company.
• Mentor and influence engineering teams, setting standards for security, scalability, and operational excellence.
