Requirements

  • Experience with Python development (numpy, scipy, scikit-image, and scikit-learn) for integration into statistical and/or machine learning applications
  • Experience with relational databases management and SQL development
  • Experience applying quantitative techniques (normalization, standardization, applied statistics) to cleanse and explore large, complex data sets
  • Proficiency with at least one deep learning framework such as PyTorch, TensorFlow
  • Experience building data visualizations with applications such as Tableau, Microsoft PowerBI, etc.
  • Experience with commercial software development processes: good software hygiene regarding code documentation, unit testing, bug tracking, version control, MLOps concepts, processes, and technologies
  • Familiarity deploying machine learning models in public cloud services such as AWS, or Azure

Responsibilities

  • develop analytic products for agile delivery
  • collaborate with stakeholders across Raytheon, RTX, and the Applied Artificial Intelligence team
  • research and deploy technical solutions for customers as part of a broader ecosystem of machine learning and advanced analytics professionals
  • influence organizational standards by researching and deploying technical solutions
  • support the application of data science and software engineering methods and techniques for production-scale internal use and external research
  • work across functional areas to support the application of data science and software engineering methods and techniques
  • create repeatable, reusable processes and scalable data products with the advanced analytics team

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
  • Remote: This position currently is designated as remote. Employees who are working in remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home) but may be expected to travel to the site location as needed
  • The successful candidate for this role will be required to reside and work from one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. territories)
