Johnson & Johnson is looking for a Senior Principal Data Scientist to develop and deploy data science solutions that drive impact for patients and the company, focusing on pressing business priorities across J&J's portfolio, including omnichannel sales and marketing, medical/science education, and post-prescription patient support programs. The role also involves leading Generative AI use cases.
Requirements
- Solid understanding of machine learning platforms/environments
- Experience with practical applications of AI-type algorithms, including machine learning techniques such as regression, decision trees, probability networks, association rules, clustering, neural networks, and/or Bayesian models.
- Familiarity with large datasets, handling of healthcare relevant datasets and understanding of data analysis workflows.
- Proficiency with one or more programming language such as Python or R.
- Proficiency with SQL.
- Experience with AI Agentic Systems
- Familiarity with working in a cloud-based technology stack.
Responsibilities
- lead projects across commercial use cases, including but not limited to omnichannel sales and marketing, medical/science education initiatives, and post-prescription patient support programs.
- take lead of multiple Generative AI use cases such as agent systems and AI learning.
- stays on the cutting edge of artificial intelligence, data science, and advanced analytics research through novel project execution and development of algorithms that influence decisions at various levels in the organization.
- lead and deliver projects and develop solutions that in turn deliver insights.
- Experience delivering on data science projects using Machine learning and AI technologies, data mining and/or text mining.
- Experience with AI Agentic Systems
- Experience with vendor management – ensuring timelines and expectations
Other
- Ph.D. with 4+ years of experience, or M.S. with 7+ years, or B.S. with +9 years of relevant pharma experience, with degree in Computer Sciences, Statistics, Machine Learning & Artificial Intelligence, Physics, Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, Computational Informatics, Medical Informatics, Computational Biology or a related field.
- Sophisticated communication skills and ability to translate complex methods and results to diverse audiences.
- Experience leading complete end-to-end development teams
- Strong ability to establish relationships with business partners and understand their needs.
- Proven track record to deliver end-to-end machine learning projects from understanding business requirements, development, deployment, and management of post-launch operations
