Raytheon is looking for a Senior Principal Software Engineer to support the AN/TPY-2 missile defense program and the Missile Defense Sensors (MDS) Software (SW) Department. The MDS SW mission is to provide world class Radar and Command and Control (C2) Software for our customers’ wide array of Surveillance and Warning Systems. They align to the core Agile and DevSecOps principles of collaborative operation across the entire value stream, delivering high-frequency, high-quality deployments to our customers.
Requirements
- Experience with programming/scripting languages (E.g., C, C++, Ada, Python, Perl, Groovy, Bash, C shell).
- Experience with CI/CD using Jenkins.
- Experience designing, implementing, and integrating platform infrastructure services and deploying solutions using container and orchestration solutions (e.g., K8s/Rancher/Docker).
- Experience with team-based software development using the Agile Scrum or Kanban framework.
- Knowledge of Redhat and Linux Operating Systems
- Experience with automation frameworks such as Ansible or Terraform.
- Experience with scanning tools (E.g. Nessus, Fortify, Anchore, Black Duck®).
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Chief Software Architect to design, implement, and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines, shaping the future of software delivery.
- Select, configure, and integrate tools to enhance software development flow, optimizing productivity and performance. Potential to administer selected tools.
- Provide DevSecOps implementation expertise to assist the adoption of DevSecOps tools and best practices, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
- Design, develop, and test software based on software trouble reports in an agile, collaborative environment.
- Participate in agile execution and continuous improvement.
- Work collaboratively with systems and SI&T engineers to analyze, implement, and test system modification requests to the existing system baseline.

- DoD Clearance: Secret
- Ability to obtain U.S. government issued Interim Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
