Northrop Grumman Space Systems—Launch and Missile Defense Systems is seeking a Sr Principal Engineer DevOps – Cloud DevOps to deploy and maintain a large virtualization solution spread across multiple remote sites for the Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program, which is a crucial component of the Missile Defense System.
Requirements
- Must have experience with virtualization technologies such as: VMware, Red Hat OpenStack, Nutanix
- Experience in Linux and/or Windows Server administration
- Experience with scripting languages like: Bash, Python, PowerShell, or Ansible
- Experience working with a Scrum team in an Agile environment
- Have experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes
- Have experience developing CI/CD pipelines with: Gitlab
- Implementing configuration management methodologies using Ansible
Responsibilities
- Deploying and maintaining a large virtualization solution spread across multiple remote sites.
- Managing virtualization hypervisor platforms.
- Managing remote virtual desktop infrastructure.
- Managing other direct user experience technologies.
- Managing additional monitoring solutions for virtual infrastructure.
- Tracking the impact of events or actions on the underlying infrastructure being managed, such as patching and maintenance.
