Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (DS) is looking for a Sr Principal Electrical Engineer with experience as Control Account Manager (CAM) utilizing Earned Value Management to work on revolutionary systems that impact people's lives around the world.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in STEM and 8 years of related experience, or a Master of Science with 6 years of related experience; or a PHD with 4 years of related experience
- Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time.
- At least one year of experience leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule.
- Experience leading teams of multi-disciplined individuals responsible for the cost and schedule of the technical baseline
- Proficient with MS Office applications including Excel, Word, Project, and Power Point
- Existing CAM certification
- Hardware/Mechanical/Electrical engineering design experience
Responsibilities
- Perform Cost Account Management reporting to the Director of a large, diverse hardware design team.
- Coordinate with technical leadership in a cross functional Integrated Program Team (IPT) to meet program cost, schedule, and technical objectives
- Develop and deliver presentations to customers, management, and other program stakeholders
- Define, plan, perform, monitor, control, and complete a variety of project tasks simultaneously
- Support proposal activities as needed
- Track budget actuals against predictions and financial performance against the full EV performance management baseline
- Perform schedule risk assessments to identify and mitigate program cost and scheduling risks
