The company is looking to fill a Senior Principal Engineer position to support multiple military engine customers and drive the successful achievement of program milestones.
Requirements
- Experience in conducting root cause investigations.
- Project management and team leadership, especially as an IPT lead, with experience in design, verification, and sustainment projects.
- Proficient in using the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project.
- Experienced in working with Teamcenter (PLM) and SAP systems.
- Working knowledge of the engineering design change process and related requirements.
Responsibilities
- Support the Controls CIPT(Component Integrated Product Team) Lead as the primary interface between Collins and Pratt & Whitney.
- Coordinate and manage activities of Integrated Product Teams (IPT’s) supporting the objectives of the Controls CIPT, including investigations, engineering changes, Component Improvement Program (CIP) tasks, and customer inquiries.
- Implement CORE Tools and processes to ensure robust Root Cause and Corrective Action.
- Manage program milestones, tracking task execution and deliverables.
- Present status of investigations, design changes, and other engineering projects to external customers.
- Contribute to development of proposals for future work (e.g. CIP tasks and trade studies).
- Review and approve Engineering Changes, Deviations, QNs and other engineering actions.

- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience
- U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrates the ability to excel in a dynamic work environment, with a self-directed approach and strong multitasking capabilities.
- Hybrid work environment with 3-4 days on-site per week, depending on project and customer requirements.
