Geosyntec is looking to grow its water and wastewater engineering practices, specifically in the food and beverage market, and needs a Senior Principal Water Market Leader to develop and implement a strategy for achieving significant market share.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in industrial and municipal clients with water supply, water treatment, and water re-use projects.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of Federal and State regulations.
  • Experience managing multi-disciplinary project teams.
  • Demonstrated success in the development and management of clients and growing a practice that sustains a group of professional junior staff.
  • Excellent leadership and detail-orientation skills.
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed.
  • Strong oral and technical writing skills.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic business planning to segment and target specific industrial, commercial and municipal clients for projects such as water supply, water treatment, and water re-use; focused on the food and beverage market;
  • Engagement with project and operations staff to align Geosyntec’s full service delivery capabilities with the market demands of the food and beverage industry, which often embraces a full-service delivery mindset.
  • Participation in the development and implementation of the firm’s strategic plan.
  • Implementation of a personal business development plan to expand services and revenue with new and existing clients, in coordination with companywide business development plans.
  • Project directorship, including ensuring client expectations are understood and met, budgets are adhered to, quality objectives are met, and follow-on work is attained.
  • Reviewing and leading the preparation of major proposals.
  • Preparing for and participating in meetings with clients, regulatory personnel, and other parties.

Other

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (civil, chemical, or environmental preferred).
  • Advanced degree (same as above).
  • Professional registration (i.e., P.E.).
  • At least 15 years (20+ years preferred) of progressive experience in the consulting industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid U.S driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel.
