At GE Appliances, a Haier company, the business problem is to improve manufacturing yields, enhance product quality, and influence processes across multiple factories and sites by solving complex manufacturing challenges and driving continuous improvement in refrigeration and HVAC sealed systems production.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field required.
- 10+ years’ experience in quality engineering roles of increasing responsibility required.
- Demonstrated experience in brazing, braze controls, related material and equipment.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems and regulatory requirements.
- Prior experience with process improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma required.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis, quality improvement tools and quality management software tools required.
- Prior experience in the consumer appliances industry strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead strategic initiatives to increase yields and address quality feedback from internal and external stakeholders.
- Analyze production data, identify trends, and implement corrective and preventive actions to eliminate root causes.
- Monitor key metrics (SCR, Cost of Quality, damage data) and ensure negative trends are swiftly addressed.
- Drive process efficiency and reliability through Lean, Six Sigma, and proactive quality tools.
- Lead MCP processes for assembly, brazing, and testing operations—ensuring documentation is current, compliant, and operationalized effectively.
- Provide technical expertise on process changes, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
- Support new product introduction with manufacturability and quality insights.

- Must have the ability and willingness to travel to various factories. Travel may be both domestic and international.
- Must have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and project management abilities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, from operations to C-suite level.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Travel up to 30% to suppliers and other manufacturing locations, as needed.
