Allegro is looking to solve complex technical challenges and drive the automated validation of their innovative semiconductor products by hiring an experienced Senior or Principal Product Validation Engineer.
Requirements
- Proven ability to resolve difficult technical issues and make sound recommendations with good judgment.
- Strong problem-solving skills for high-complexity, unique problems, demonstrating interdisciplinary expertise.
- Expertise in writing and implementing complex and optimized test code independently.
- Ability to participate in technical planning discussions and drive DFT creation.
- Deep understanding of circuit blocks and the ability to grasp new architectures and algorithms.
- Demonstrated ability to complete advanced and complex tasks creatively and effectively.
- Proven experience in contributing to the development of new concepts and techniques.
Responsibilities
- Apply a complete understanding of product validation concepts and company procedures to resolve difficult issues and make recommendations.
- Solve high-complexity, unique problems, often requiring interdisciplinary expertise and system-level thinking (e.g., researching related products, processes, and qualification status).
- Develop and execute efficient automated control of bench equipment for the validation of Allegro ICs.
- Design and implement complex and optimized test code independently, developing new functions of diverse scope.
- Develop comprehensive evaluation plans for new or pathfinder products of high complexity.
- Contribute to the product definition, including Design for Test (DFT) and trim strategies.
- Contribute to the development of new concepts and techniques in product validation.

- Mentor other engineers, sharing your expertise in problem-solving and technical approaches.
- Create and execute schedules for complex validation tasks and provide accurate estimates for execution.
- Work on assignments requiring considerable judgment and initiative, understanding the implications of your work on project timelines, cost, and impact on other Allegro functions.
- Propose recommendations for defining new standards, actively researching industry literature, and advancing technology and processes for the validation group and the company.
- Challenge the status quo in product definition and routinely collaborate with Design Engineering (DE), Systems Engineering (SE), and other groups to drive innovative DFTs that span beyond a specific product or product line.
