Requirements
- Experience in all aspects of software engineering lifecycles including inception, proof of concepts, and fully launching production software for public use.
- Proven experience mentoring and assisting team members grow their expertise and ability.
- Strong understanding of the fundamentals of core web technologies: JavaScript (ES2015+), HTTP/2, CDNs, and working with multiple caching layers.
- Experience with React and/or Node.js
- Consistent track record of delivering modern web service based architecture (REST, GraphQL, etc)
- Experience with Cloud Platforms (such as AWS), CICD Pipelines (such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions), Kubernetes.
- Experience managing or contributing to Open Source is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Set the technical direction of highly visible cross-organizational initiatives that require coordination with multiple stakeholders across disciplines including Senior Leadership.
- Mentor, lead, and influence engineers to ensure the success of collaborative solutions.
- Write efficient, maintainable code, validated with unit and integration tests.
- Perform code reviews that reinforce a high standard of quality and engineering excellence.
- Contribute to Open Source projects related to the tech stack and domain of our products.
- Work fearlessly, try new things, and share your failures and successes with the team.
- Partner across multiple engineering teams to drive technical solutions and architecture for new and complex functions.
