Northrop Grumman is seeking a Sr Principal Software Engineer to support the Sentinel program, developing software applications and contributing to the company's mission to push the boundaries of possible across land, sea, air, space, and cyberspace.
Requirements
- Proficient in C, C++ or Assembly
- Thorough understanding of Operating Systems such as VxWorks and Linux.
- An understanding in hardware architecture.
- Hands-on experience working with a Real Time Operating System (RTOS)
- Full Stack Developers are responsible for developing both front and backend applications.
- Evaluation of COTS products that may contribute to the end product
- Developing technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.
Responsibilities
- Developing front end Software applications.
- Developing back-end Software applications.
- Creating servers and databases for functionality.
- Ensuring responsiveness of applications.
- Working alongside graphic designers for web design features.
- Designing and developing APIs.
- Staying abreast of developments in programming languages.

- Active DoD Secret clearance - a reinvestigation date occurring in the last 6 years.
- US Citizenship with Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP)
- 8 Years with Bachelor’s in related field of study, 6 Years with Masters, 4 Years with PhD or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree.
- Communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings.
- Perform work without appreciable direction.
