Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Software Integration & Test (I&T) Engineer to ensure the software for the state-of-the-art M-code capable Embedded GPS/Inertial Navigation System (EGI-M) meets all system-level requirements, playing a key role in technical planning, system integration, and the verification and validation of embedded software systems.
Requirements
- Proficiency with MathWorks development tools, including MATLAB and Simulink
- Hands-on experience with one or more communication protocols such as MIL-STD-1553, ARINC-429 or RS-422
- Experience integrating hardware and software in a lab environment
- Skilled in writing both automated and manual test procedures to validate system functionality
- Extensive background in software integration, and testing processes
- Experience supporting test investigations and debugging efforts
- Strong hands-on experience with Ethernet protocols
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive verification of software requirements to ensure alignment with system specifications
- Design and develop detailed and robust test cases, test scripts, and test procedures to validate software functionality and performance
- Create and deliver clear, concise, and effective test procedures to ensure that software test activities are executed accurately, with resulting data conforming to specified requirements
- Work with various Agile teams to ensure all requirements are verified through inspection, analysis, demonstration, or test often by providing test and data reduction scripts
- Develop, maintain, and optimize data reduction scripts to enhance efficiency and streamline validation processes
